Maccarone joins Prairie View staff

Newton, Kan. – Prairie View is pleased to announce the addition of Amy Maccarone, MS, LMFT, LAC, to its staff privileged to work with adolescents, adults and older adults, ages 14 and older.

“I have wanted to work for Prairie View since before I began my master’s level studies at Friends University. Someone in the field encouraged me to pursue this vocation and from the time I decided to do that I had in my mind that I would like to one day work at Prairie View,” she said. “I know Prairie View to be an organization filled with people who truly care. Service, professionalism, integrity, compassion and a graceful spirit are all things that come to mind when I think of Prairie View.”

Maccarone earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas, and her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University, Wichita.

She holds memberships with the Kansas Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists and Delta Kappa International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society.

She will provide outpatient services at Prairie View’s Newton office, located at 1901 East First Street.
