The Prairie View Labyrinth
This ancient tool for meditation or prayer provides a unique therapeutic experience that aides relaxation, quiets the mind, and find relieves stress and anxiety. Individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, addictions and losses benefit from the healing space and process provided by the labyrinth. Youth groups and students can walk the labyrinth to resolve conflict, quiet their minds and improve focus.
A labyrinth walk is unique to each person. You’ll begin your experience walking a winding path that begins at the periphery and leads to a central place, then out again by the same path. Unlike a maze, there are no blind alleys or dead ends.
The labyrinth is located on Prairie View’s Newton campus. For safety and security, all visitors must call ahead for approval to visit the labyrinth. Please contact Advancement at 316-284-6385.
Large groups are welcome; please call 316-284-6365 at least one week in advance during regular business hours to schedule. When available, a large group guided experience with music and drumming, can also be arranged.
