The East Wichita Caregiver Support Group is open to those who are caregivers for older adults. It offers an opportunity for education, mutual support, and problem solving with others who are dealing with similar caregiving situations. This includes caregivers whose care receiver has any illness, including dementia. Admission is free and open to the public. Sharie Quattlebaum, LSCSW, is the facilitator.

The program is funded in part by the Kansas Department on Aging through the Older Americans Act of 1965 and administered by the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging.

The Harvey County Caregiver Support Group is a support and information sharing group open to those who are caregivers for older adults and for older adults who are caregivers.

Joan Brubacher, Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker at Prairie View, is the contact person and coordinator for this group.

Meetings are free of charge and open to the public. The group is made possible through a generous grant from the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging, with federal funds from the Older Americans Act.
