Harvey Joins Prairie View Team

NEWTON, Kan. (August 30, 2018) – Prairie View Inc., welcomes Dera Harvey, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, to its clinical staff.
Harvey is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and provides medication management to adolescents and adults ages 6 to 70 at Prairie View at Legacy Park, located in east Wichita at 9333 East 21st Street North.
“By empowering clients of all ages, I aspire to provide them with the tools needed to gain control of their lives while providing them with hope, grace and the capacity to achieve everlasting joy,” says Harvey.
Her responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, medication management, admissions and physical exams, diagnosis and treatment.
“As a nurse practitioner, my specialty is caring for those in need while also having the ability to use science to aid them in achieving a healthy mind, body and spirit,” she says.
Harvey earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Butler Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tabor College, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Fort Hays State University, and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate from Eastern Kentucky University.
