Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker Transfers Prairie View Offices

NEWTON, Kan. (September 21, 2020) – Prairie View is excited to announce Cindy Carpenter, LSCSW, has transferred from its Newton office to its East Wichita office where she now serves as an outpatient therapist for ages 18 and older. Some of the areas of focus are depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, general wellness (life transition, empty nest, goal setting, weight loss or holistic wellness) and spiritual or religious issues.
During the last 20 years at Prairie View’s Newton campus, Carpenter served in various positions, including Crisis Team Therapist, Director of Access and Emergency Services, Crisis Team Coordinator and Crisis Team Supervisor.
“When I graduated with my master’s degree in social work, I knew that I wanted to work for a faith based organization. I was drawn to Prairie View because of it values and commitment to serving those struggling with mental health issues,” she says. “I find engaging with clients at some of their most vulnerable moments very rewarding.”
