Prairie View Names Fuqua as Chief Financial Officer

NEWTON, Kan. (October 8, 2018) – Matt Fuqua is passionate about data-driven decision making. In today’s world, he says, where a lot of data is available, data’s true value is when it’s understood and used effectively.
Fuqua has been named Chief Financial Officer of Prairie View, Inc., effective Oct. 15.
“I am very excited to join Prairie View’s Management Team,” says Fuqua. “The services Prairie View provides strengthen the communities we serve, and the need for these services is growing. This is a place where the services a CFO provides truly can make a positive impact on the lives of others.”
As CFO, Fuqua will help the organization achieve its mission by ensuring financial sustainability and transparency with continued sound fiscal stewardship.
“Ensuring Prairie View has the financial capacity and tools to navigate through different fiscal climates motivates me,” he says.
Jessie Kaye, Prairie View president and CEO, notes that: “We look to the Chief Financial Officer to manage the financial health of the organization, and that’s a very significant set of responsibilities. We are so fortunate to have recruited someone of Matt’s caliber and with his sense of mission for this leadership role.” He will oversee accounting and business functions, purchasing, information systems and patient accounts.
Fuqua has several years of experience working in non-profit finance, including St. Francis Community Services, based in Salina, where he worked his way up from Lead Accountant to his most recent position of Controller – Vice President.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from McPherson College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Tabor College.
Fuqua, his wife Jamie, and their two children live in McPherson.
