Behavioral Urgent Care Center
Just as no person responds the same to life’s struggles, the same level of care is not appropriate for every issue. With this commitment to transformative behavioral health care in the moments that matter most, Prairie View is proud to offer our new Behavioral Urgent Care Center at our Newton campus.
The Behavioral Urgent Care Center will offer crisis intervention and emergency assessments to those experiencing a mental health crisis. Prairie View is one of the state's first Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHCs) to provide such critical services.
This facility aims to enhance mental health support by ensuring safety, reducing suicide rates, and providing accessible care. It is open 24/7 for adults 18 and older in Harvey, McPherson, and Marion counties. Crisis services are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
