Bradley Inducted into CPI Hall of Merit

NEWTON, Kan. (September 25, 2019) – The Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) has announced its inductees into the CPI Hall of Merit for 2019. Everett Bradley, director of recreation and adventure at Prairie View has achieved Meritorious Status as a Certified Instructor of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention®. This year, 227 Certified Instructors worldwide are being recognized at this level for their extraordinary commitment to an ongoing training process which promotes Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security℠ through Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

“CPI is a safe, no-harm method of managing people in crisis, “says Bradley, who has led CPI trainings for all direct care staff at Prairie View since 1996. Bradley estimates that he has trained or re-trained approximately 3,450 individuals.

Criterion for Meritorious status were:

  • Number of staff members validated through Bradley’s training programs
  • Cumulative hours of training facilitated
  • Cumulative number of training classes taught
  • Attendance at CPI Instructor training courses for continuous improvement
  • Years as an active Certified Instructor
