Harvey County Caregiver Support Group Meets October 10

NEWTON, Kan. (October 2, 2019) – The next meeting of the Harvey County Caregiver Support Group will explore the stages and progression of dementia.
The group meets from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, in Prairie View’s Osage Room, 1901 E. First St., Newton. Debra Voth, a licensed specialist clinical social worker, facilitates the caregiver group.
The group is open to caregivers for older adults and older adults who are caregivers. It offers education, mutual support and problem solving with others who are dealing with similar situations. This includes caregivers whose care receiver has any illness, including dementia. Admission is free and open to the public.
