April 11, 2022
NEWTON, Kan. (April 11, 2022) – Prairie View is pleased to welcome Charlotte Loewen to the McPherson campus as a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker.
“I was attracted to Prairie View because of the quality of care that is provided,” says Loewen. “I also appreciate the organizational roots in civilian public service and promoting an alternative vision to the mental health services at the time.”
As Loewen steps into her role at Prairie View, she will be responsible for individual therapy and case consultations, specifically with adults 18 years of age and up and older adults. “I have a special interest in working with older adults and promoting healthy aging,” says Loewen.
She will pursue this interest by providing care within varying areas of concentration. Loewen will work with individuals who may be living with depression, anxiety, Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy Bodies, Parkinson’s, traumatic brain injuries, spiritual and religious needs, relational problems, conflicts in generalized wellness and more.
Loewen says she enjoys working with people and assisting others in living their lives to the fullest potential.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Religion from McPherson College, McPherson, a master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, and a master’s in Theology from Bethany Theological Seminary, Richmond, Ind.
