Prairie View Adds Outpatient Therapist to Newton Campus

NEWTON, Kan. (January 11, 2021) – Prairie View welcomes Kate Nickolay, MSW, LSCSW, to its clinical staff as an outpatient therapist and case management supervisor at Prairie View’s Newton campus, located at 1901 E. First Street.
Nickolay provides clinical services to individuals 18 years of age and older which allow them to live, work and remain in their communities. She also provides support to case management staff.
“My specialty is working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI),” says Nickolay. “I enjoy connecting with people outside of the office setting to assist them in living their best life in places they are most comfortable and feel most okay to be themselves.”
She holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and American Indian Studies, and a Master of Social Work degree, from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
