NEWTON, Kan. (January 12, 2022) – Prior to becoming a licensed psychologist, Dr. Bryce Summers worked with diverse populations in a variety of contexts ranging from corrections to treatment-oriented residential centers. Because he desired to provide a higher level of intervention than what he could accomplish in a peer support role, Summers pursued a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston.

Summers joins the clinical staff of Prairie View-East Wichita’s office, where he provides neuropsychological testing and psychological testing to adults and older adults ages 18 and older.

“Typical testing questions include testing for ADHD, dementia, learning issues, and differentiating mental disorders impacting occupation or school performance, and differentiating between diagnoses that will inform best follow-up treatment recommendations,” says Summers.

In addition to his doctoral degree, Summers also holds a Master of Education in Educational Psychology from Wichita State University and a Master of Science in Marriage Family Therapy from California State University.
